At Healthies, we advocate a lifestyle to keep you young, vibrant, healthy, and feeling better all the time! We have literally done hundreds of hours of research on health related topics to bring you the best possible methods for reaching your health, fitness, and beauty goals.
There are fascinating new scientific technologies being created such as stem cell therapy and we will also discuss these in our videos and blogs; however, it is vitally important to remember to optimize the basic ways to keep young and healthy which are: healthy diet, proper sleep, proper vitamin supplementation, stress relief, cardiovascular exercise, and proper treatment of the skin.
Possibly the #1 most important thing we can do as humans to stay young and healthy is to eat a master cleanse lemonade healthy diet. Part of our mission is to expose our visitors to other great websites and products. Here is a link to a wonderful article about eating healthy.
Unless you are a professional athlete, just keep it simple. Try to eat a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables, should be about 80% of your diet. Try to eat mostly organic food. If you are a meat eater, eat only organic, growth hormone free meat and free range chicken and eggs.
We also recommend going on a cleansing diet for at least one week every year. You will have to cut out all:
According to Dr. Julian Whitaker, everyone should be taking supplements. He states, "A common objection to taking vitamins and supplements is that you get everything you need from a healthy, balanced diet.

Still not convinced? There is a man named Ray Kurzweil, he is the Director of Engineering at Google. Forbes. Inc. magazine ranked him #8 among entrepreneurs in the United States. He has received 20 honorary doctorates, and honors from three U.S. presidents. We could go on but you get the picture. Why are we telling you this? Well, Ray Kurzweil believes he will invent immortality and he believes he will be able to download his brain onto a computer. In order to preserve his health long enough for this to happen, he has a very strict diet and takes an enormous amount of supplements.
In fact, According to Business Insider, "Kurzweil takes 100 pills a day (down from 250 a few years ago, allegedly thanks to advances in technology) for everything from "heart health" to "eye health, sexual health, and brain health." and "Kurzweil's breakfast includes:

When it comes to taking care of your skin, it's more important to focus on what you put IN your body rather than what you put on your skin. Eating a master cleanse lemonade healthy diet, such as the one we recommend, will give your body the essential nutrients, vitamins, and amino acids it needs to keep the body and skin healthy. Adding healthy oils into your diet, like olive oil, flaxseed oil, coconut oil, and fish oil, organic spirulina powder can really help keep the skin moist and soft. We lose the elasticity in our skin as we age so it's important to help keep our bodies well nourished.
Scientific American recommends several natural remedies for our skin. Remedies include: beauty rest, vitamins C and E, lycopene (found in tomatoes), and lutein (common in spinach and kale), natural scrubs, internal and external use of natural oils, drinking lots of water, etc.

It's also advisable to put oil on the skin while showering. There are many great oils designed for shower use such as jojoba oil, castor oil, and almond oil. In conjunction with oils, you can use all-natural organic creams and lotions to lather on after your shower.
FITNESS AND EXERCISE
Almost everyone understand that regular exercise is good for the health and will not dispute this fact, yet they are often too lazy or overworked to add weekly exercise into their schedules.
For optimal health, we recommend doing physical exercise 3-5 times a week. Make sure to do a mixture of weight training and cardiovascular exercise and always stretch before and after each training session. Drink plenty of water and eat a nourishing, replenishing meal within one hour after your workout.
Benefits of exercise include:
There is an incredible article about the 13 Unexpected Benefits of Exercise which you can read here:
There is a paper published in a peer-reviewed journal by Neil Schneiderman, Gail Ironson, and Scott D. Siegel titled, 'STRESS AND HEALTH: Psychological, Behavioral, and Biological Determinants'. The paper states, "Stressors have a major influence upon mood, our sense of well-being, behavior, and health. Acute stress responses in young, healthy individuals may be adaptive and typically do not impose a health burden. However, if the threat is unremitting, particularly in older or unhealthy individuals, the long-term effects of stressors can damage health."
As you can see, it is scientifically proven that stress damages ones health. It is vital to keep stress levels low in order to stay young and healthy. It is unadvised to stay at a job which causes you high levels of stress on a daily or weekly basis. Rather, you should strive for a working environment that excites you and fulfills your dreams and goals. Humans are happiest when working towards their goals, so take some time to seriously think about and write down your goals. If you have to work at a stressful job temporarily to achieve your goals that is OK but try limit your exposure and leave as soon as you can.
For relieving daily stress we recommend many things such as yoga, Pilates, stretching in general, hot baths with bath bombs or salts, light cardiovascular exercise, saunas, meditation, massage, walking, and even a glass of beer or wine. Although alcohol is bad for your liver and may have other long-term side effects, it can really help you relax after a long stressful day. It's vital to balance the positive with the negative when consuming alcohol and there is no need to overdo it, just 1-3 drinks a week is plenty.
One of our favorite ways to relieve stress is taking hot baths with epsom salts and bath bombs. Bath bombs can be very therapeutic if they contain all-natural ingredients. The benefit of aromatherapy and hydrated magnesium sulfate can cause intense relaxation and also nourish your body.
